	never disclose the real names of significant others - the following are acronyms & abbreviations that members used on the *Mothers Be HEARD* discussion board when it was operational:

DH, DW, DP, DS, DD, DF, DB: dear husband, dear wife, dear partner, dear son, dear daughter, dear fiance, dear boyfriend (or DS1, DS2 to distinguish between your first and second son)

DSD, DSS: dear step daughter, dear step son

FA: father

MIL, FIL, BIL, SIL: mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law

MO: mother

SAHM: stay at home mum

    SD: step daughter
    SS: step son
    SO: significant other

NEVER reveal specific information about your place of residence (ie. city and street name), location of employment, or name of school that children attend.

Furthermore, users should be reassured that the administrator for this site will not pass on personal email addresses to a third party. Email addresses obtained are strictly for the purpose of administration and are not given to or sold to anyone else.
