Wellbeing Workshop for Mums

not your average mothers group....something refreshingly different!

This workshop is not just another parenting course.  This workshop not only focuses on you as a parent but also on you as a woman.  Often the very essence of who a woman is can get lost when she becomes a mother and her needs are easily eclipsed as attention turns to caring for a baby.

Having a baby can be a happy time, but it's also a time where women typically experience some identity confusion and a range of emotions.  Don't suffer alone....Get clarity, feel rejuvenated, supported, and unlock your inner resources so that you can get the most out of your life. For women of all ages and stages in mothering; and remember that looking after your own wellbeing can be an important investment for everyone!

About the workshop:

This workshop series is your oasis of understanding where you can develop a new set of skills and outlook on life.  By attending it you will be taking an important step in looking after yourself because, as mothers, we often put ourselves last.  You are free to laugh, cry, and anything in-between, and there is no pressure to share anything that you don’t want to.  This is a unique opportunity for personal development as you explore the changes in your life since becoming a mum. With a workbook, chocolates, and childcare included it's an opportunity too good to miss!

About the facilitator:

Felicity Chapman

Hi, I’m the founder and director of Mothers Be Heard which I started in 2006 when my children were little.  I’m a Social Worker who has worked as a counsellor in both the disability sector and with women in community health. I am currently working as a Mental Health Clinician two days a week for the Adelaide North East Division of General Practice.  I am also a mum to two wonderful, energetic boys.  Motherhood really spun me around because it was like this emotional tap got turned on.  How could I be crying for some little orphan on TV that I’ve never met?  I felt apart of something bigger and yet my world had become so small.  I began researching how modern women experience the transition into motherhood, then set up a website called mothersbeheard.com, and later developed a workshop series. So much focus seems to be on giving advice about parenting but not on listening to that weird and wonderful journey called motherhood.  That’s why I created Mothers Be Heard - to give everyday women permission to share the realities of motherhood in a professionally supported and friendly environment.
