Is any one else finding the balance of a sick child and work hard and frustrating at times. I have not long gone back to wrk and already i have had four or five days off because of my sick bub it is so hard to be the strong dependable person at both home and work Both the boss and hubby expect you to be able to keep going but when is my day OFF to sit and watch a dvd or read a book AGHHHHH!

With the sick bub It makes it so so much harder am I doing the right thing? I know that I am but i can't help but question it will i look backand wish I had more time with bub probably but what else canyou do when the bills and your debt keep knocking at your door.

Will bub miss out?

that sounds tough breemummy. I'm not in paid work at the moment but i remember the days when i was when pregnant with ds2. Especially during winter when all the colds and flu are around it's the pits! We've just had gastro and that is hard enough to deal with without having to juggle around work too. I feel for you.

did you see that 'modern mums and ten tips' post that mbhadmin put up in chit chat? You might be able to relate to that. Us women do shoulder a lot and it's not unreasonable to expect a better deal. Sometimes there don't seem to be too many 'outs' do there? Can u schedule in some R & R time while hubby takes over on your 'days off'?

DefaultThat's tough going

But you know what? I'm so glad you have an outlet here! Does it feel any better to be able to offload, even if people like me have sympathy but no suggestions?

Hang in there, keep being honest, and I hope you can revel in how important you are to the people around you, both at home and at work.

Thumbs upcrazy little life eh?

Yeah girl it's a crazy stage of life:

I tried to take a contract to run a national youth event, part time ( der!) when my youngest was 2. I swear the moment the ink was dry where I signed that thing she started with ear infections and tonsillitis. I was supposed to be flying to Sydney and I was instead at home with screaming febrile toddler, trying to do national phone link ups with people with her screaming and whimpering in my arms.........

The day I finished the residential component after a year's blood sweat and tears and I was sooo sleep deprived after living with older teenagers for a week and THEN she came down with the highest fever, had a febrile convulsion, and ruptured an eardrum that night.

How did I feel? Like an exhaused heel of a no good mother........

Somehow we survived but I think you are doing it tough Bree Mummy. Lots of love and hugs!
